Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Jan 19
The 1999 Brane-Cantenac was picked September 17–28 at 44.6hl/ha. It has a little dustiness on the nose that ebbs away, leaving cranberry and crushed strawberry and a hint of sage; the aromas turn more herbal with time. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh, with light tannin, but missing a little substance on the midpalate and attenuating toward the chalk-textured finish. Tasted at the Brane-Cantenac vertical at the château.
